Important Change in GROUPS
As you may or may have not noticed, your post count went down if you had made any posts in the Pwnem Groups section.
A lot of posts there were semi-spammy and rather than nag people about them it's better to disable post count there that way you can carry on with your laid back discussions without a fear of getting penalized. The reason why post count is important is because it's an important factor in determining if you're qualified to be a Veteran or not. And it seemed as though that groups section could have been easily abused to achieve that. So to make it fair, I've changed the settings so that your post count doesn't go up in that section nor do you earn PWN$ for posting there anymore. If this change has put you below the minimum Veteran post count requirement then don't worry about it as I won't be removing your status. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused but it's done in the best interest of the forum. Keep in mind that being a Veteran gives you important status in the forum so I am doing my best to not devalue it. And as you will soon find out it will be quite rewarding due to this event I have planned. I'll leave this thread unlocked for now in case anyone has anything constructive to add. RE: Important Change in GROUPS
I was actually thinking along the same lines the other day when I realised that the Next Gen Slots Anonymous was more of a thing belonging in the /random section as it didn't really contribute much to the forum overall.. So I think you've done the right thing.

Yeah.
And that thread in specific was looking more like one of those role playing game threads lol. Counter Strike 300 Read The Forum Rules Pwnem Veteran <- This explains what it is and how to become one. |

RE: Important Change in GROUPS
Veterans are just another user group, halfway between normal users and moderators, they can warn some members, and if they warn them twice, it effectively bans them. There's probably some other things, but i can't recall.
Also, it seems that GaMeR is planning something for the Vets. ![]() ![]() O2 - Orange Range (Extended Opening Theme for CG R2) |

RE: Important Change in GROUPS
In part of establishing a forum you also establish members who will be with your through the triumph of your forum.
Gamer call his Vets. The ones who have stuck with him since day one (or actually stuck around after they joined), followed the rules, and made victory by posting lots and helping keeping the forum up and active. So in actuality when you think that being a vet doesn't have its reasons, it really does. Its much more than being able to warn people and ban them. Its MUCH more than being in between a mod and a member. Its a title that tells people you have won the flame wars! You have beaten down the fanboys! You have come, posted, and logged off to go play more games!!! You need to forget about this "not having much meaning" bull smack and wear that Orangeish-Yellow glow proudly because you my friend are a Veteran. A Veteran of Pwnem.com ... RE: Important Change in GROUPS
That was said beautifully Specktren.
We are a group that has reason to be proud, we stayed, we posted, and we pushed on when others told us to shut up. Veterans, unite with your fellow moderators, super moderator, and administrators. We are a team and lets keep it that way. ![]() http://www.myspace.com/phatbowser |
