here at work yesterday i completed 4 PC's and one Notebook in less then 3.5 hours...each computer either had a hardware problem or software problem...luckily only one had a bad hard drive and another needed a new MoBo.(mother Board) but the rest had to go through complete clean ups and I ended up just whiping their drives cuz it was taking too long. I beat my record by one computer...Im getting faster at repairing and rebuilding pc's..and now I have no PC's to fix today...=\ sad day. *sits in office spinning in office chair*

...next year at quakecon when AMD has there annual PC build off...i will be ready

also on a side note...i found a computer that had *and I stress HAD* over 18-thousand different types of spyware and infections...an older lady brought in her pc saying it was working slow and when i did a system scan it came up to a bunch of pirated movies, games, music and such that were infected that her grandson had downloaded...about 20Gigabytes worth =\ so this has been an interesting time here at work all week...

That lady better hope her grandson didn't download under-aged "videos" or else spyware isn't going to be the only thing to worry about...

Do you give advice after when you fix their computer? Like, recommend an external hard drive to backup their programs, files, and such?

yeah i do that stuff too...I'm a computer technician/computer consultant at Omega Technologies, I sometimes work at some local High Schools as an assistant technician troubleshooting and stuff

..I just told her that I recommended that she monitor computer use and such...lol she just told me that her grandchildren were banned from the computer. Justice well served ^_^

Watch out for her grandchildren as they might plot vendetta against you for losing their PC privileges :P

lol i'de rather not get assassinated by 15 year old kids..

They may come in at first really friendly with no sign of trouble wearing their jackets and take off their sunglasses, then wham! You see what they are packing. Its bad dude, get out of there fast. ;)
