There's also a flash clone of this game which you can play online for free called Flash Hero (Keep in mind that the graphics aren't too great, and that you can't import your songs in this version. So if you want a better game get Frets on Fire OR the official Guitar Hero PC game which is already out, it's not free though lol)

hmm... this thread is the most popular but still it has no replies... What exactly is guitar hero?

yeah frets on fire is good but it can be a pain editing your own songs, especially when its like frampton or skynard and the songs last about 13 minutes. plus it only comes with like 3 premade songs so yeah, but you can always download premade songs.

Guitar Hero is a game... where you play guitar... similar to the idea of Singstar.

Awww... That's not that fantastic but it's a chance of those who don't know how to play electr guitar.

I can play the real electric and bass, I still play this game.

Well this game isn't really too realistic in terms of comparing it to playing a real guitar. And yeah you do use a guitar controller, but if you look at the way the game is played your actually just tapping colored buttons which appear on the screen rather than simulating the actual method of playing a guitar which involves the strings and so on.
