Guild Wars all the way, it PwNs!! unless you play WoW then you suck :) j/k

I've heard good things about this game, but haven't played it. The good thing is that you only pay for the game, and no monthly fee. Which is the downside to WoW.

well, i really do think wow is better :/ I have both of the games and i've completed prophecies and started on factions. But wow is so much better. The feeling in-game is so much greater than GW

I was a big WoW player since release, racking up around 200 days /played across all my characters, but there comes a point in your life (read: college, and summer before college) where you've got to go out and break away from a gaming addiction.

The thing was, when I was home (which wasn't all that much), I really had nothing to do. Guild wars filled that gap great for me.

As most of you know, it's a mostly pvp based game, but there's plenty of pve for the casual player. It's based around skills and complete customizability of your character, and your accomplishments work across your account to unlocking stuff for your other characters. It's really the perfect game for when you've got an hour of time and want to do something, whereas WoW it would take you 30 minutes just to get somewhere to start killing mobs.

Definately worth checking out if you're that I-want-to-online-game-but-don't-have-time kind of guy, like I am.
