GTA IV Perfect Scores

GTA IV Perfect Scores
GTA IV has received perfect scores across the board. Here's a link to GameStats.com. It shows the scores from 4 reviewers, IGN, IGN UK, Empire Online, and Official Xbox Magazine (UK). That is a feat on it's own. Also, it has received near-perfect scores from OXM (9.5), and the UK magazine Xbox World 360, (98%- the highest rating they've ever given.) The reviews have pointed out some things, like the Oscar worthy dialogue and story, the great scale and density of the city, and the excellent multiplayer.
The reviews did popint out some downsides, however, such ass little framerate issues and texture pop-in, but it doesn't take away from the experience. As far as which console has the better game, it appears the nod goes to PS3. Reviewers have noticed that the 360 has more framerate and texture pop-in issues, and the load at the beginning is slower, mainly to to the PS3's ability to install the game on the hard drive. However, i doubt these are thing that one will notice easily, mainly because reviewers actually LOOK for these little things, while players will just be playing and hardly notice, so it isn't a big deal. But I'm sure some of you here will ignore the fact that the game is great on both consoles and a fan-boy war will begin. Anyway, be sure to pick it up on Tuesday, April 29th.

Yep, and this game is selling like crack for the PS3.

Not surprised either, as it's a respectable title. It will probably do well on the 360 as well, especially on Live. It might even become the next CoD 4 in terms of XBL popularity :P

The INITIAL load will be longer for the PS3. See: 5-10 minute installation.

Anyhow it'll still be better on the 360 once the DLC comes about next Fall.

I see this on top of Xbox LIVE's charts for the next 3-4 months. Maybe more. And to Snake, yes, the instillation is 5-10 minutes, but after that, when the game loads at the beginning, it will be faster on the PS3. Just clearing that up.

This is certain.

It will be a battle.

As much as taking a battalion of Rangers into a village in Sai-Pan and shooting everyone is a "battle".

Xbox 360 gets DLC. PS3 gets a quicker boot-up. You make the decision.

The 360 is getting DLC, which has been said to add appx. 10 hours of gameplay, and some speculate, though i doubt, that it will be a new island. The PS3 has a quicker load, and sharper graphics, and some speculate it will get it's own DLC as well. Though I'm getting it for 360, either purchase will be a great one.
UPDATE: 6 more perfect scores, including one from Game Informer. Link to GTA Gaming, which has links to the reviews.

I heard quicker load. I haven't yet seen a review that cites "Sharper graphics".

Do you have a link for that second claim? Because I've read reviews from both sides, and all I've heard is very light framerate issues, and the slightly longer load.

And for what it's worth, dancing around the "Nuetrality tree" isn't much worth it. Anyone who chooses quicker load times (keep in mind that once the game loads up, there aren't any extra load-screens in game, like there were in Vice City, ect) over the potentially 10+ added hours of gameplay needs there head checked.

Also, request this be moved to the General Gaming section, as it pertains to both consoles.

RE: GTA IV Perfect Scores
When i said "sharper graphics", i was referring to the framerate and the AA, to clear that up. And i don't know what you mean by the "neutrality tree." All I'm doing is posting both perspectives. Also, you didn't complain when i posted this thread in the 360 section, so why are you complaining now? But I'll be sure to post in the general gaming section from now on. And not everyone has both systems, so those with a PS3 have no choice but take the PS3 version, unless they buy a 360. I'm not here to argue with you, I'm just posting the news. I don't know why you have the need to ruin every thread.
