RE: George Carlin...
Bumping with some of his acts (should last awhile, thread is stickied in 420).

http://img.420chan.org/m/src/05%20Angels.mp3

http://img.420chan.org/m/src/03%20Fear%20of%20Germs.mp3

http://img.420chan.org/m/src/02%20Airpor...curity.mp3

Whole 40mb act.

A collage of jokes. Hours of jokes here. This is arguably the best one. Takes all the funny shit and puts it into one longass thing.

Honestly, this guy was my hero growing up.

RE: George Carlin...
Never even heard of him before.
Is he one of those religious nuts, or true blue?
I don't want to take the time to listen, I am a busy fellow.

RE: George Carlin...
And this, my friends, is why I hate being around most people my age and hang out with people older than myself

George Carlin was a f*cking American Hero and one of the single funniest comedians that ever walked the Earth next to Pryor, and one of the first to get away with saying "F*CK YOU" to the FCC and getting away with swearing on national television. If you haven't heard him, I'm filled with pity.

Click the last link if you want some of the absolute best excerpts from his act.

RE: George Carlin...
Whoah dude. No reason to blow steam at me. Give yourself a few more years to get where I am. American heroes to me are the ones out there dying to save this country and ones that fought to end slavery in the civil war. A cursing, babbling jerk is no hero.
Heck, its people like this that destroyed morals in this country.

RE: George Carlin...
Morals aren't useful. They're subjective, useless shit, invented in an era where the world was flat and the Sun revolved around the Earth. I thank Carlin for realizing that, sadly some fools just haven't got with the times.

Also, I have a certain respect for Soldiers, but unlike 40-1000 years ago, it's no longer a role, it's a job, an occupation, you're not called upon, you sign up and fill out an application.

If you find your heroes in people who throw puppies off cliffs, that's even sadder.

So "To get where you are" would be a step backwards for me, thanks but no thanks.

RE: George Carlin...
No, you still have growing up to do. I dealt with an old for years just like you, he was a brit though. You two would get along real well.
Without people like you, I wouldn't have anyone to argue with, without people like me, well lets just say there would be some trouble.
Post away people.

RE: George Carlin...
I cried when I heard ... He really is an American Hero. Maybe not in the most direct textbook definition but an American Hero none the less.

One of my all time favorite comedians. RIP ... Best wishes to his close friends and family as I am sure this is a very hard time for them.

I have no idea what an old is, but some of us would rather not grow up into passive people who accept anything because it's custom.

With more people like him there'd be some actual progress on this flying mudball.

Not sure, does he have any family? He's pretty old and I don't think he has kids.

RE: George Carlin RIP / Rage thread
I am sure he does. If he doesn't the [majority of the] world itself is at a loss with him gone.
