Any dirt cheap laptop would be able to play counterstrike.. I had an extremely old computer that had 3Gb of memory (reinforcing it's oldness) that could play counterstrike..

And there's bound to be plenty out there that you can get even cheaper..

Meh, you could probably find a better one at a similar price on sale at your local PC shop.

But for $500 don't expect to run anything better than Counter-Strike: Source. You'd have to find a real good deal to run some of the newer games with such a rig. Also,with $500 you could probably get a cheap $400 desktop and buy a $100 video card that might run some newer games.

If I didn't have a need for my notebook I would give it to you for $300
It is 5 years of age, but with better specs than that IBM up there. It is expandable too.
Look for used Northgate notebooks for sale, they are fairly priced and have the power you need.
But I do warn you, they are quite hard to find, so just look for them if you can't find anything else worthwhile.

I am wondering if that is another person or not. I was a bit confused at first.

He does own both accounts, and I PMed him about it. If it was an honest mistake as in he forgot the PW or something and made a new one then I'll fix the issue for him.
