Well he just wants to play all the Counter-Strike games on it as he bought the pack I believe. And yes that laptop I posted should be able to run all the CS games including Counter-Strike: Source. However, I'm not sure if it would be able to run Source smoothly with the max detail levels.

We can't really keep posting links as there are probably hundreds of laptops for that price range on tons of sites. I suggest you stick to the site in the link above or Best Buy along with any other major retailer. Almost all online shopping sites have a price range option, so simply look for the laptops section and select the price range that you're looking for so it narrows it down to what you can afford.

And if you're ready to make the purchase but are still unsure post what you plan to buy here and get some feedback. Aside from that I think we've done all we could to help you.

Even if it has a little less power than you need, you can save the money and get it upgraded. And turn anything off on the computer that isn't necessary before you play a game, that will speed up the processor and allow more RAM to be used.
