@ SnakeTheFox, I'm aware that he made that statement about you, but just let it go for now. No need to continue fueling the flame war...

Next person who instigates or continues the flame war in any way will be warned. Especially if it's either Vote4Drizzt or SnakeTheFox.

If you got more nice comments for each other, then exchange them in /random..not here or any other section.

Anyone have any input on putting the reviews outside the forum (there will be a reviews part of the website instead)?

Sorry, i meant(in a joking tone) that he would play games that I wouldn't touch, because he is different.

I think that a Separate review area would be okay, but there would be no room for peoples comments(not sure if that is good or bad)

At the moment if I were to put the game reviews separately there would be no comments. That has it's ups and downs.

At least you wouldn't have to worry about negative remarks...But honestly, it's YOUR review, so therefore others should respect it, and if they don't like the review, they are free to write their own. As I'll be allowing multiple reviews on the same game, that way there will be mixed opinions, rather than just one.

Will you have a guideline as to writing a review/

Like:

What year this game was released/
What system[s] is made it for/
Does it have multiplayer/
Does it have online playing/

etc...

Yeah something like that, but it will be a bit more open as not everyone follows the same format.

As long as the general points are covered, it's fine IMO.

These will probably be the general points:

*General Game Info: Release Date, Platforms (as well the platform used for the review), Amount of Players, Online Play etc.
*Graphics & Sound
*Gameplay
*What could have been improved, or what was your favorite part of the game..

Then someone could go a bit further if they wanted to by commenting on the box art, how reliable the online play is, and so on.

implement the reviews in the forum for discussion. and maybe later on, have game faqs made for games. and have those non forum but see if we can implement some kind of rating system on them.

Ok this feature will soon be implemented, but before I add it to the forum I'd like to hear your input on the following:

*Allowing multiple reviews on the same game, however, they must be distinctly different. Taking a quick glance at this it may seem pointless but it will help overcome bias reviews. Plus someone else may include some things that someone else might of left out.

*Disallowing comments in the review section. The reviews are meant for the sole purpose of reviewing the game, not discussion of it, therefore discussion should take place in the appropriate forum section.

*The pros/cons of adding it directly on the forum.
Pros - Probably more accessible, as the reviewer can easily edit the post etc.
Cons - If the forum is temporarily closed the reviews section will be too, therefore adding it in a separate section of the website will prevent such downtime as well as make it easier for those just looking for reviews. However, keep in mind that via the method I plan to do you won't be able to edit the review right away if it's done independently from the forum. You will still get credit for the review though.

I think there should be a separate area
If there is a need we could add a Discussion area.
As for editing , We can all be really careful

On Topic... Maybe for the game reviewers, a special user group? or maybe just a banner or something like an avatar.

Game reviews would be good, so would a seperate page for them, like a blog or just a kind of live feed.
