RE: DS Vs. PSP
Yeah the fact that some games only require one card to play multiplayer is awesome, especially if you have a friend with a DS.

There's a lot of good games to play, I recommend Mario Party and Mortal Kombat.

RE: DS Vs. PSP
Well, there is some games that allows you to download them to your PSP, but they're only a few...

Anyway, GaMeR, can you make this thread a poll so the "winner" will be obvious?

Mohdgame Wrote:PSP ftw, the PSP can emulate all the retro game and GB games <3 . The PSP as awesome games such God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Tekken, Monster Hunter...etc.
Translation: The PSP is awesome because it can play nintendo games.

And that's the only reason it ever will be awesome.

RE: DS Vs. PSP
I own a PSP but to be honest, I'm thinking of taking it in for a DS. It's boring me to death, it wants to be a PC but fails oh SO hard. Plus, that's what I have a PC for anyhow. I don't need 2.

The more I look at it, the DS seems to have more interesting games.

RE: DS Vs. PSP
I don't own either, and I have to admit, if I had to go buy one, then I think that the DS would be better.

RE: DS Vs. PSP
I own both and the DS is the only one I really use for games, my PSP is really just a fancy MP3 player to me. I got it for free anyway, so I'm not exactly wasting it.

If nothing else, using ISO's can be useful simply because they're free

RE: DS Vs. PSP
PSP Ultimately defeats DS on many subjects (except dual and touch screen)

Sure the DS is Cheaper but after its only £30 cheaper than the PSP Slim.

you get so much more for the price greatly increased graphics a bigger screen in total if you compare it to the 2 ds screens put together

PSP = 480x272 DS=504x196(when fused sideways)
people may think hey but the DS Lite has a brighter screen and is lighter.
they are actually wrong the psp slim has a hidden 5th brightness setting that is brighter than a ds lite and the slim is also 20grams lighter than a ds light.

but really the ds only has a few good games ,jump superstars, pokemon ,dementium, mario.

your saying the psp has good graphics but no good games and not alot.
the psp has the combined amount of ps1,psp,n64 games and every console before the ps1 (except dreamcast)
because of emulators.
also true fact the psp has a ds emulator and it works!!!11 not full speed on most games but hey it does.
And theres many a good game in all those consoles plus God Of War for psp was epic(i have completed it)and i cant wait for crisis core in english.
i have also completed final fantasy 9 on my psp and am playing 7 on it :D
yes i know ds has emulators to but!! do some of them support video output on the slim
im currently playing a link to the past fullscreen on my 28inch tv

Gamer was saying about the ds web browser saying about comparing.
the ds web browser you have to buy and it costs about £30 new so your paying the exact same as a psp.

also the homebrew scene is very large and always growing for the psp while the ds is quite slow
i have an r4ds and frequently check for any new updates news whatever and they barely come .
peopel say its hard to hack a psp because of sony updates then get or make a pandora's battery all you need is a psp battery and a memorystick and you can make an bject that unbricks any psp and puts any psp on custom firmware.
also you can make it without using custom firmware.

about multimedia yes there games consoles but if it plays video and music and games and still be handheld sony is doing something right
moonshell for ds sucks in audio/video quality and framerate
i can get my psp to play a 720x480 video at 29fps and also at any resolution 480x272 and below

want to know why this is because the psp has a 33mhz processor while the ds has a 67mhz processor and a 33mhz arm7 processor and the 33mhz is utilised for moonshell.

the ds has 256kb flash while the psp has 32mb and the slim 64mb
ths ds has 4mb ram while the psp has 32mb and slim has 64mb

and the fact sony release firmware updates adding new features and support ever increases the psp's resourcefulness and custom firmware just makes that even better.

i can now make skype calls on my psp to other psps's , pc's , landlines using my psp's camera as a mic
i have also just got go!messenger and can make video calls text chatting and voice calls to other go!messenger users

the ds has pictochat which is nothing compared to the above mentioned

meh not much more to say

yes the ds has 1 cartridge multiplayer but the psp has download play on some great games like tekken dark resurrection.

the psp really does win but i still like my ds and my psp because they both have games i like.

also yes the ds is aimed for the younger gamers
and whoever said the psp is for noobs is being blatently idiotic and does not understand the potential that this handheld holds

the ds would also have stood a better chance if the one spawn of evil was removed ''FRIENDS CODES'' they truly suck

RE: DS Vs. PSP
Most of your argument, Squee, is that "PSP is good because it can play other console games and DVDs"

I don't see much need in watching DVDs on the go, seriously, and again the PS only has a handful of good games that are it's own. If people hadn't found out a way to hack it, it would be pretty crappy with only a handful of good games

RE: DS Vs. PSP
I'm Gonna bring this back a little Bit.

Mohdgame Wrote:They're too shallow for me! I want something with a deep story-line and gameplay and characters.

That is the most stupid Statement I have ever heard.
Theres Plenty of Nintedo games with no plot, but theres a lot of ones with Excellent Award wining story.
Orcarina of Time, Wind Waker, Link to the past. Massive deep games.
Not to mention the Metroid Games. Or mario 64 or Galaxy.
All Massive titles, VERY Deep Story and Gameplay.

I DEMAND an Apology.
