The food debate suffers a problem, that Oneillz808 noticed, generalization, I live in the U.S., I eat out less than 5 times a month, and I have fat family, it is not fast food that causes obesity, it is Fat Food, from anywhere.
Europeans, seem to have a different view of food, life and the world in general, with it's own advantages and disadvantages, but they are not ALL skinny, just as Americans are not ALL fat.

Movies!

Mostly that foreign cinema tends to be a lot better than the majority of American movies.

Some may argue that Bollywood isn't exactly a pioneer of good cinema, but some Bollywood movies are still far better than the majority of American films.

It's easy to pick the worst of our movies to compare with one of those Emmy/Grammy or w/e nominated shits.

I mean, how many good movies have we had over you guys? The Matrix series, the Original Star Wars Trilogy, Red Dawn, The Kingdom. Now name a list of good European movies.

Personally I don't care for recent movies in general, Hollywood or Europe. Books/comics generally carry a better story.

I would say that movies appeal to the people they are pitched to, "good" is relative in relation to movies, I love Star Wars, but some people might find them annoying, the way I hate chick flicks.
A European movie probably appeals to the majority of European audiences, not to the American segment.
Also, I understand that nudity is allowed on public TV in most of Europe, so movies would likely follow the same pattern and more movies would get shot down on censoring then would make it here.

And about that little fat discussion, there are many more obese Americans than Europeans, because there are many more Americans than Europeans. Simple math. If you looked at it in that regard, there is not a huge gap.

The way you guys are looking at it is completely wrong. I wasn't dealing anything with numbers. I was calling out on Cactuar on his mindset about normality and fat people.

A lot of us are only 'normal' as we can get with our culture.
