Vote4Drizzt Wrote:Quote:Proof? This isn't David Coperfeild (did I write it correctly?)... Secondly, you misread what I said, Eve was formed by one of Adams left (or right, I forget) ribs. Tell me how that's possible. Oh that's right, it isn't, because the Bible is full of shitty fairy tales and pompous arrogance on the part of people who thought they could "hear god". Also, it was believed by 99.999% (statistic made up, it could be 100%, I don't know, all I know is it was the mass majority) of most people in Europe, and other areas, up until whenever, that that world was indeed flat, and you could "fall off the edge of it". Just because millions of people trust it, doesn't make it right. You prove unintelligent to somehow arrogantly associate numbers and statistics with what is correct. By my logic, millions of people are still stuck in the past. If 1000 out of 1200 people thought that red was spelled "read", does that make red=read? No, it just makes 1000 out of 1200 people stupid and wrong. Hell, look at the belief in the world being flat. Up until a LEADER discovered and speculated that it indeed, WAS NOT FLAT, nearly everyone thought it was. It's a known fact that the majority of people are sheep, and the rest are leaders. The sheep follow the leaders. Christianity just proven it can catch more sheep. I'm not intimidated by numbers. 1000 fools hold as much water for me as 1 does. I can't convince you. The words of someone over the internet wont rattle your mind, and wont hold as much affect upon you as the words of people close to you. They contort you and force you along the lines of surrender to a god that sadly isn't there. For what it's worth, I, at first, grew up in a very christian area, my parents, or at least my mother, was slightly Christian (she was also a drunken whore who devorced by dad years later), and most of my Grandparents were extremely Christian. I had to go to church with them, pray with them, and listen to people around my school and public areas talk about religion from time to time. It's when you break out of this foolish circle of ignorance that you realize life is worth more living as someone without beliefs than it is as one with them. With beliefs, you're forced to work your whole life proving yourself to a non-existent god. Without them, you're unchained and able to enjoy life as it is, and value it for how short it will be. Christians will never know this value, because of the supposed "afterlife" that exists after one dies. Also, I am priceless. Back on topic for a second, I don't believe in mind control in the sense of "LOL HUR HUR LEMME PICK UP THAT CAN WITH PSYCHIC ENERGIEZ!" because that's just as foolish as religion. I do however believe in what this video is demonstrating, that you can modify the mind to accept and distribute different signals to control certain non-bodily appendages. Gaming of that sort, however, isn't close coming. Too expensive and such. Also, because they have to insert things into your head, have fun with one of those Matrix-esque neck-nodes, and oh yeah, if there's an electrical storm... well, lets just say I hope your family are made up of cannibalistic people with a taste for Smores. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Control things with your mind?
If 1000 out of 1200 people thought red was spelled read, then it can make it right. Why? Because the way words are spelled is decided by people. The English language was derived from Latin and Greek, so people decided what words were to be spelled in which way. There is no book that's as old as the earth that has every language and every word documented and has a strict guideline as to how they are to be spelled or pronounced. For god's sake Homer Simpson's "D'oh" is in the dictionary. So your comment is wrong. I'm atheist myself, but if there is anything that i hate more than religious pompous asses pushing their beliefs on the rest of the population, it's atheist asses who have to push their disbelief on everyone else. You don't have to attack or insult someone's entire lifestyle or faith to make a point. Maybe when you're older you'd realize that.

No, if 1000 out of 1200 people thought red to be spelled "read", that would not make red=read, that would simply make 1000 out of 1200 people stupid. However if 1000 out of 1200 WANTED red to be spelled "read", that is different, as you're distinctly pointing out that they are AWARE of the difference, but do not agree with it. I pity you for not realizing the difference between incorrect thought and will. Anyhow, I force my beliefs on others because this world will be better off without religion. Nothing of value in life has ever been obtained by pussy "Lets wait for it to go instead of pushing it along" assholes like you. You have to fight for change, and if that fighting has degraded to that of fighting on an internet forum, so be it. It doesn't change the fact that you've obviously been too warped by the foolish clinging to your "Don't force things on people" mentality. People normally don't just "wake up" and realize they're fools, they have to be told, it has to be SHOWN to them how there actions are wrong and there choices are not beneficial for mankind. Without that, change will not come, and again, I supremely pity your weak mind for not being able to make that connection. Perhaps when you've studied a bit more into the art of philosophy and the affects of religion on the world, you can make an informed opinion. Until then, continue working at a High School level of "Don't force things on people, maaaan, that's just like, not right maaaaaan, like totally" unsophisticated submission. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Control things with your mind?
A. If the two first people were created by God, I assume he had the forethought to make them with enough genetic material to breed correctly, and isn't ALL breeding Mass Incest, as we would still have origins in a single organism.
B.You said yourself that humanity is becoming more and more idiotic, so why is it that Athiesm not Religion is growing? What, is the "truth" you're spreading better for sheep? Seems to me that Christianity isn't the system with the issue. C.You may have been a Christian but you clearly NEVER understood your faith, God never said wait for him to take care of it, he said when you CANNOT take care of it, when all hope is lost, he is there to help you. Why is it a worthless life to love someone other than yourself. Why is believing that I am more than an accidental mutation in a pond 1,000,000yrs ago harmful to humanity? And How in the name of all that is Golden-Brown and Delicious do YOU know if there is an afterlife? D. If God doesn't exist, Why is it such an affront to you that I believe otherwise? I have never discriminated against someone for their faith(or lack thereof), I have no intention of starting a jihad, I have probably done more community service than you even care to know about, so what is the FREAKING problem? E.Your method of "teaching" has managed to (apparently) offend everyone you use it on, so your ability to "educate" the world with this style must be roughly Nil. Even my dog can figure out when something isn't working. Spoiler (Click to View) How to Get Recon Armor ![]() ^Crushing Day-Joe Satriani^ My Blog |

RE: Control things with your mind?
Keep it ON topic or this thread will be closed. Take it back to the religion thread. This is about "Controlling stuff with your mind" not "I'm forcing my every belief on you because I think your religion sucks and your wrong about life"
Enough said. ![]() Rules of the Forum | Guide to PwnEm.com |

RE: Control things with your mind?
Well I quite like mowing the lawn, I've got a ride on lawn mower, and my front lawn is MASSIVE takes about an hour to mow the whole thing down (i live on a farm, so... yeah). But I just get my mp3, get on, and mow. Gives me some peace outside of the house... plus, chasing rabbits its fun too... :P

RE: Control things with your mind?
What mower you have?
I have a 5 year old John Deere L 110 lawn tractor. Still works great, the Kohler engine runs like it did when it was new. ![]() http://www.myspace.com/phatbowser |

RE: Control things with your mind?
It's a new Husqvarna LTH1797. Love it.. apart from the new safety features that they put in the seats where there has to be pressure on it.
here's one: ![]() We also have an old Rover Rancher, it was a good little lawnmower, but now we got the nice big one. :D And... I want this lawn mower:
