What's your favorite video game story? Mine absolute favorite game story is Red Dead Redemption's. Never in the years that I have been gaming, has a story moved me quite like Red Dead. Everything about it was perfect and John Marston is possibly the memorable characters that any story has ever produced imo. Now, whats you're favorite?

For a universe story, the Warhammer 40k games win hands down for me.

Single game I have to say Metro 2033.

I love RDR's story. I wish they would've made an add on that told the tale of his son, Jack Marston, besides just leaving us with him to go and toy around, though. So, RDR is my favorite as of now, but that could change.

I love how strange Assassin's Creed's story is. Adam and Eve are Assassins? Pieces of Eden been held by Napoleon, and other famous people throughout the History. It's like, the story drags me to find out how to play it more just to see whats going on in the story of AC games. I don't know if Ezio now became a Space trooper fighting for the galaxy or Altair ate the second golden apple. I don't know. The story is very interesting. And STRANGE.

Man, another hard one! (thats what she said?)

I think the Mario story was fantastic. I mean... Princess gets stolen, but when Mario goes to rescue her... she's in another castle?!..... and then it happens *again*?? Talk about fkn mind blowing....

Ok, in all seriousness :p Planescape: Torment was an amazing story. I really liked Bioshock's as well. And going old school here, Chrono Trigger.

I really liked *most* of the Legend of Zelda stories, my favorites being on the N64 (Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask) and PS1/PS2 Final Fantasy games. from recent games I'd say TES : Skyrim. I was quite "sucked in" haha :)

I definitely gotta agree with you there. Its definently got that WTF? feeling that sucks you in. I really like how they do those little glyph mini games. It never really tells you outright whats going on, but you can guess by little clues they lay out for you Ex. an assassins symbol next to Ghandi. Now that is truly messed up lol.

    MINECRAFT DEFINITELY

But in all seriousness, I'd probably have to go with Majora's Mask. It was more personal than "save-the-kingdom-from-the-bad-guy" because you got to know all the NPCs, their hopes and dreams, and you knew if you didn't stop the moon from falling, they would be destroyed, along with all that.

I also liked the darker tones and sense of urgency throughout the game.

I had a lot of fun with Uncharted's story :3
That, plus FFVII's franchise, and Kingdom Hearts are my three favorite videogame stories.

Assassins Creed Revelations. I've been mind fucked by games plenty of times but I've never cried from such a beautiful and engaging story. I gave it a standing ovation when the credits began to role. Love Assassin's Creed.

For me it has to be chono trigger. That game had such wonderful characters and story arcs. And a lot of plottwists you couldn't see coming on your first playthrough.

The Batman Arkham series. I've waited many many years for a decent Batman game and the Arkham series had a great story with good visuals and solid gameplay.

Simplicity at its best. Arkanoid also had an interesting story despite the basic concept.

I really don't know but for the sake of this post I'll just say a story i really enjoyed. Or rather, didn't enjoy. What I mean to say is, I almost cried at the end of Metal Gear Solid 4.
