I speak fluent Spanish as well and am learning German/French.

My German is much better than French (which I started recently) as I've studied it longer but still have to work on it to be able to have a more in-depth conversation.

Curious to know what some of you speak besides English.

I speak Dari, it's the language spoken in the northern part of Afghanistan.

Done it through the Army for deployments, it's pretty much useless outside of Afghanistan.

I speak fluent Dutch(my mother is Dutch), I learnt it around the same time as English, while I grew up, so it's more or less as good as my English.
I also speak a little German, I started learning it a few years ago as it's very similar to Dutch, I'm very out of practice though unfortunately because I've not really been able to use it lol.
I also speak a little Arabic as my father's Egyptian, not nearly as much as I'd like though.
Learning a new language is awesome, although it can get more difficult later on if you're not in a country that speaks it, as you don't get to use it very often. Great fun anyway though.

My first language is Swedish, and I can obviously speak English. :p

Apart from that I learned French in school but its been a long time since I used it so I have forgotten a lot.

Huh... seems like I'm the only one here without decent linguist credentials... I studied Spanish for a couple of years in high school, nowhere near fluent though.

Ah, good to know I'm not alone then! Though I don't think that I'm going to give up on it; maybe I'll give it a shot in college.

I was born and raised in Bahrain. It's a trading center and a big tourist attraction in that area (right after Dubai, of course). I'm pretty sure every nationality and culture exists there :p

With a Bahraini dad and American mom, I grew up learning Arabic and English naturally. I had close friends whom were Finnish, Hindi, Colombian, and Persian. I never picked up on the Spanish or Persian much, but I learned some Hindi and Finnish.

Also, a pretty good percentage of the labor in Bahrain are Hindi, Pakistani, and Filipino. It's hard not to pick up a little on those languages and cultures.

Ahh, ok. Damn, I wish I had as much contact with people from other places and cultures, here there are only farmers and other boring people.

Well, with PewDiePie and his gang getting as popular as they are; I'm sure Swedish will be in demand in no time :p

I speak fluent Spanish, due to years of classes and home training, as well as an exchange student escapade(I had a fun time with that one). Also, ich spreche ein wenig Deutsch. <-- That's German. I speak a moderate amount of Japanese, due to my want to watch anime without subtitles, and also because I can.

I am not fluent but can fake my way through a conversation in Laotian, German (lived there for 3 years so that helped), and some Spanish. While I don't speak any of these very well, if you speak to me in any of these languages I can respond to you very well in English. I understand all of them way better but have a difficult time speaking back.

The only thing I am fluent in is sarcasm (had too, haha)

A little Spanish and that's about it.

I want to learn French but keep procrastinating lol. My library has some language learning tools that I'll have to force myself to take advantage of.....
