I've just not started Final Fantasy VIII at the insistence of a friend. I'm constantly surprised by the quality of the cut scenes.

I love VIII. Not only is it my favourite PS1 game, but it's my favourite game overall. I never get tired of it.

Tell my friend that. You two would get along. :|

I actually had a hard time getting into VII, I still have it, but never finished it. I should give it another try. Same with VI, though I did really like it, I think I got distracted by something else coming out and never finished that either. Sacrilege, I'm sure.

Anything that distracts anyone from a final fantasy game deserves to be put down and shot.

7 is overrated and most it's fans are blind moronic fanboys.

IX was good, but I have a number of complaints about it. However, I still replay it from time to time as it does have some great characters and a good story.

I found too many of the characters in VII annoyed the hell out of me. But I enjoyed Crisis Core when I was playing that a while back that I feel maybe I should give VII another shot.

I thought Cloud Strife was a FF character...
