Which would you rather get, if you could only choose one?

While it may seem obvious that most people will choose the PC, keep in mind that it won't be able to play the console exclusives, maybe it will have Halo 3 in a year or two, but most likely not before then.

I'd choose the PC as I go on the PC more than any console, and I enjoy PC gaming more. Plus I could play all the Xbox ports with better graphics, GoW, Halo 2 etc.

PLUS I'd be able to multitask without a problem, play every single Steam game on the highest settings, and much more.

Let's compare a PC to a PS3.

The graphics card, the best graphics card you find from Nvidia (I don't know the other stuff) Is 8800 GTX I think, the PS3 can double the power with its cell proccesor, but if we have GFXcard VS GFXcard the RSX (PS3 Nvidia chipset) the PS3 chip would be more powerful.

controls, I can't really comment on this, some people prefers the console for controls and others prefer a keyboard and mouse.

Sound, it depends alot on your sound card but I cant comment on that either, I don't know much about it.

Games, the PS3 offers more games than the PC. The PC will have Xbox 360 ports only and Halo 3 after 2 years.

Pirce, the PS3 would be better investment than the PC. PC would cost ALOT to match the PS3 power.

Conclusion? Console owns. The only way that the PC gamers yell at because they spend a hell loads of money on their PC and yet a PS3 owner enjoys more than them.

What if you could get the best PC in the market for free, still the same answer? (But you couldn't own a PS3)

And the PC offers way more games than any console, but if your referring to ONLY the new main stream games, then you are somewhat correct.

Yeah, now games are starting to come out on the console more than the PC. The PC was good for gaming years ago but with this generation, the PC is getting left behind.

If I get a free PC but I couldn't get a PS3? I'd sell it and buy a PS3/Xbox360/ Wii. :P

PS3/Xbox 360 owns PC.

Especially the 360, I really want Halo 3.

I still think the PC is a better choice since it will be awesome for both PC gaming and non-gaming. (Video editing etc.)

While the console will only come in handy for gaming, and maybe music/movies but that's it.

You were asking for gaming only? PC can do loads of stuff but for gaming, console owns. and It mades me, Halo 3 is the most overrated game on the whole mankind history. Rent it or try it before you buy it. >___>

Well it was an overall comparison, as each console has additional features, the PS3 for instance can watch blu-ray movies, the Wii can browse the web etc.
