Aryon would like to point out that you should only get Oblivion ONLY if you really like those games... Because Aryon bought it, played it for about 5 hours, then got bored of the repetitiveness.

im not rly a fanboy of any console or company... maybe just a few games. but thinking about this, there are games series that i like a whole lot... but a fanboy likes an game that the series puts out no matter what, for example im a huge battletoads fan but i hate the one on snes and im a huge oddworld fan but i hate strangers wrath. as of right now i guess im only a fanboy of Perfect dark because i loved both those games. but if i was a console fan boy... it would probably be sega genesis and sega dreamcast.

I just got my money but haven't seen my friend lately so I'll probably go to his house.

I loved Morrowind So i'll try Oblivion.

Heh, the BioShock PS3 thread reminded me of this one due to the discussion about exclusives going on there.

And now it seems that being a Fanboy has little benefit since there's not that many exclusives any more. I mean sure your console might still have some features that won't be available on the other ones, but as for the game, chances are, eventually it will be on the rival console.

Either way, I have the top 3 next gen consoles IMO. DS, Wii, & 360.

So I'm fine without the PS3, although MGS4 does look good. But I'm not that big of a fan anyway nor am I too fond of Gran Turismo 5, another PS3 game that looks worthwhile.

Well, since it only goes for around 8 - 12 pounds it's worth a purchase, besides I enjoyed Morrowind anyway, although I could only play for about an hour a day. great game for messing around though.

True... I was sort of the same... But different people can play differently... For example.. My mum (before she decided to try Mass Effect) was HOOKED on Oblivion... Her total play time was clocked to about 300 hours. With her being on level 50 something. I could only play to the point when I was around level 25ish.

You are always a bit hooked when you first get a game because it is new. but if it is not what you normally play, after you beat then main levels, you don't play it any further for a long time.
