Frontlines: Fuel of War
I played the singleplayer and multiplayer demo. Gamer where is that review section? Anyway, here you go:
____________________________________________________ tl;dr version Singleplayer first. I didn't care for it too much, the storyline is quite realistic to what will eventually happen in a world without oil. It's complicated, but in short, America stops helping the smelly EU, and Europe gets swallowed alive when the the islamofags (Editors note: islamofags is NOT a derogatory term. Islamofags is E-American talk for Islamic Extremists, you know, the Muslims who are willing to blow themselves up in markets for there god. Anyone want to stop me from insulting child murdering, plane hijacking terrorists, go ahead) decide to nuke each other and there oil reserves to oblivion because we all know that will happen eventually because the whole of the middle east is full of war-crazed, religiously controlled, crazy people who want nothing more than to kill for there nonexistent god for a couple hundred likely fat, aging, bearded virgins, so the oil being gone gives the Russians/Chinese the ability to invade Europe and us Americans, being the Europeans always whine about how we're so bloodthirsty, get there asses thoroughly KICKED by the Russians and Chinese before we finally decide to intervene and all-out war breaks loose. Anyway, singleplayer gameplay is what you'd expect from a Multiplayer-centric game. AI is dumb as shit, battles are drawn out and uncomplicated, and voice acting is worse than most dubbed 4kids Anime. 'Nuff said about the Singplayer, on to Multiplayer... OMG F*CK YES SHIVA! This game is what I've been waiting for on my 360 in terms of BF2 style (read my review on BF2:MC to see why it doesn't cut it...) gameplay and mechanics. The demo I played is fairly balanced, with some Rocket Launcher issues that cause it to... oh who am I kidding, the Rocket Launcher is rape. Really, in the demo, there is no reason to choose any class but the Anti-Tank class... just ask everyone in the room. Other than that, weapons are diverse, drones (remote controlled UAV/ULV style vehicles normally armed with rockets, machineguns, grenade launchers or the ability to be remote detonated) are a ton of fun, the 32 player cap (to be 50 players on XBL in the full release) makes the battles the biggest yet on console, and being server based (for the larger servers) means that there are nearly 0 lag issues in the game. Other than that, it basically works like an upgraded bridge between the weapons in BF2 and the weapons in BF2142, except this game doesn't suck so much (BF2 sucks, except Project Reality which makes it slightly more enjoyable). END tl;dr version ______________________________________________ Shortened version: Singleplayer is the Claude Van Damme to the Multiplayers Chuck Norris. But all this is based off the 2 demos played, and is subject to be COMPLETELY f*cking different in the game you play. Also, just for kicks, I'm going to remind you all the PS3 version was canceled due to the suck (the power source for the PS3) needed being drained by Ron Paul. Or because of problems adapting the Unreal Engine 3 to the PS3. Your pick. It's currently going to be released sometime this month (Febuary), likely the 25th, and will be released for Xbox 360 and PC. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

RE: Frontlines: Fuel of War
It's well worth it, the multiplayer demo has 2 full levels, all the weapons/vehicles except the jets, transport helicopters, and AA vehicles, and supports the full 32 player setting.

I love the demo, Hate your bigotry against religion( Wacko's excepted)
and Question the "Zero Lag" I played all day and NEVER found a lag free match, is it only on quick match or something, I used Create a match, because I had people I wanted to join. How to Get Recon Armor ![]() ^Crushing Day-Joe Satriani^ My Blog |

Vote4Drizzt Wrote:I love the demo, Hate your bigotry against religion( Wacko's excepted) Well you obviously were using EU servers or something. I never got any lag except when I joined a EU server. Besides for what it's worth, it's a demo. When did I discuss your murderous, hateful religion in this topic, and frankly what does it even have to do with Frontlines? ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Frontlines: Fuel of War
One already exists, it's just Drizzt seems to like turning every thread into one since I beat him in the original thread.
The release date for Frontlines is supposed to be Feb. 25th for the US, and sometime around the 28th/29th for Europe. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |
