DS Vs. PSP
The DS is better IMO.
However, I'll admit the PSP has way better graphics, however, I don't care about graphics as I didn't enjoy the gameplay in those "better looking games." Plus I don't like the current design, nor the firmware.
And while the PSP has a amazing homebrew community, it's useless for those who have a newer PSP as you can't downgrade the firmware.
So unless you have the old firmware, the PSP isn't that good, as at least with the old firmware you can play retro games on it, and some good homebrew titles.
But the comparison I'm doing is with official games. Another reason why the DS is better is because it's touch screen and has two screens. Sure it sounds corny, but guess what? It's fun.
However, the DS isn't for everyone, if you can't stand "low end" graphics, then it's not for you. And while the graphics aren't good, it still manages to keep you entertained.
Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros., and Mario 64 are great for Mario fans. And if your into racing games then the NFS Carbon is pretty good. For those "DDR-like game" fanatics, Elite Beats is a good choice. The music isn't great, but the gameplay is.
The only downside is that it doesn't have many games targeted for older gamers, however, despite the fact that most titles are rated E I find them to be just as entertaining as if I was playing a M Rated game like CS or GTA. Sure those games are better, but for being a handheld device, it gets the job done.

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE MADE THIS THREAD!!!
i have a ds and a psp
I must say i play the psp way more than the ds im thinking im going to sell my ds i don't really like it the tutch screen is boreing it might be appealing to little kids [with the atention span of a nat] but not to me. i like games with depth. [not that i hate plumers or anytghing] but i rather be hacking through a wyvern instead of jumping on goombas for gold.

PSP ftw, the PSP can emulate all the retro game and GB games <3 . The PSP as awesome games such God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Tekken, Monster Hunter...etc.

I agree that every one has different tastes, but some times you have to get sick of the child like gameplay.
And you cannot say that you would like to find and beat up that five year old kid that left you in the dust while playing mario cart.
I hate restraint orders, they make beating up little kids sooooo hard.

Yes but it can only do that with homebrew support, and it requires an older firmware version. My comparison was purely out of the box.
The DS can do emulation too, but it requires a inexpensive add on. And another thing I forgot to add was the web browser.
However, I think both browsers are equal. The PSP one has it's upsides, and downsides, along with the DS browser. So depending on your preferences you'll think one is better than the other. But it's not by a lot. The only key advantage in the PSP browser is flash support.
Monster Hunter looks good, as for MGS the one I played which was Acid I believe, I didn't like too much. Can't comment on Tekken or God of War as I've not played them. I did see some screenshots though, the GRAPHICS look good. But I guess I just rather play those games in a console rather than in a brick-like object in my hands.

The gameplay is good imo. But everyone wants to play a console rather than a handheld. Handheld for those boring situation when you in a bus, or train or waiting for someone/something when you don't have your console.
You don't see people carrying HDTV and a PS3 on a bus don't you? :P
Mostly its about the taste, but i don't like Nintendo games at all. They're too shallow for me! I want something with a deep story-line and gameplay and characters.

RE: DS Vs. PSP
Your right about most Nintendo games not having a deep storyline. Probably only the RPGs have a decent story line, such as the Final Fantasy series for the DS.
However, the purpose of Nintendo games are to defeat boredom and to pass the time. And they do indeed accomplish that IMO.
