PlayStation 3 can do both, watch blu-ray, listen to music, browse the web, its a full entertainment system. It has also TV-tuner which will be available on November.

Go compete in our arcade to try and beat the current high score!
But what's the advantage of using one if you can simply just unplug the PS3 and watch TV lol...
UNLESS you mean a special program that gives you access to more channels, then I'd see it being somewhat worth while. But if it's just to watch your local TV channels, definitely not worth it.
As i am a retro gamer I am going to compare computers vs all system gamecube and previous....
I find that as long as a computer has a good emulator build (not dolphin!!) then it is in fact better than any of the retro consoles, however, I would rather use a Nintendo 64 then try to get a emulator to work on my commodore 64.
Yeah but you also have to consider the feel of the original controller. Take the N64 for instance, GoldenEye 64 isn't the same without the N64 controller...
However, nowadays they sell USB adapters for almost every retro console controller, so you can use it as if it was a normal PC gamepad.
And then there's the performance issue, the average PC can emulate N64 and down without a problem. But it will struggle with the PS1, DreamCast & above.
The choice is clear, if money isn't an option however, PC is where to shoot for.
Also, Mohd, get out of here with your PS3 crap. The PS3 doesn't even have DX10 support, so there's no use comparing it to a high-end PC that HAS DX10. Hell, even the 360 has partial DX10 support.
For info on what DX10 can do, see:
If you HAVE to chose one, and money ISN'T an option because you're spoiled rotten, go PC. However if you need the money, go 360.
You were asking for gaming only? PC can do loads of stuff but for gaming, console owns. and It mades me, Halo 3 is the most overrated game on the whole mankind history. Rent it or try it before you buy it. >___>
true its overrated and i dont find it that fun... but its also the most popular too lol. and did you srsly say that there are more games on ps3 then pc? learn to count man.
Depends on the availability of games/money, I couldn't begin to afford a game if a PS3 were dropped in my lap, but a Pc has flash games early on.
I am not that into PC gaming because I'm no good at making it work in the first place, and the whole Server system is beyond my knowledge.
If I was good at it, a PC can MAKE games, Modify Games, deal in other Media.
As For Graphics, Halo and Cod4 could be the standard from now on and I'd be cool if they improved physics, like the fact that I can kill three guys in a row with the same bullet, but a .50 cal cannot penetrate more than a single watermelon.
I definitely prefer PC's for the fact that you can customize a lot more settings for your games but the downside is that you tend to get a lot more hackers/cheaters in online games on PC than you do with consoles.
I find that consoles are more of a level playing field and that it comes down to reflexes.
PC for me. I've never had a high quality gaming PC, but the games that I have played on the PC are great. And I can only imagine as to how amazing they are on a high quality PC. I'm saving up for one, though, so I should know soon enough.
