Well I calculate if he is falling at about 100 feet per second, he would be falling for about 1 minute and 10 seconds. The last 50 seconds I would say would be the time it would take him to land with his parachute. Of course don't go by that, there are so many things to take into consideration.

Yep. And the position he is in while falling makes a huge difference. Maybe he could take a stop watch with him and time the fall.
