Well there's a handful of good offline multiplayer games which are what makes it a great console, single player games on the other hand (turns on Xbox 360)... lol.
It has the potential to have good single player games without a doubt though, it's just that they haven't released anything amazing yet. Brawl & Kart are probably the best they've come up with. Anyway, by 2009 some of those other upcoming games mentioned in other threads will definitely be worthwhile. In the mean time you might want to invest in a $20 Wii Points card and either buy some good retro classics or checkout if any WiiWare game interests you.
