(Good looking) Georgian Journalist 'shot' in arm
What do you guys think of this? On one side, I'm leaning towards it being fake. It was featured on National News (CNN) for a bit, but they haven't shown it since, and something tells me they figured it was a hoax (although they never explicitly 'say' it was a Russian sniper). On the other hand, it most definitely wasn't a sniper. As you can clearly tell by the wound on her hand, all it did was cut her up a bit. Now I realize a lot of you aren't experts of bullet ballistics or weaponry, but I'm of the opinion it was a ricocheting round. Russian 7.62x54R rounds (from the SVD/SVU sniper rifle/DMR) would have taken her hand clean off, and even if it was from a simple AK-74, the 5.45x39 still would have done more than scrape her. Not to mention the sniper had a piss-poor shot at best if all he manged to do was nick her arm. Was likely just a ricochet from far off, and not a sniper. Assuming it was a 5.45x39mm AK-74 round, this is what the wound would have been if it was a dead on shot into her arm: ![]() So obviously, it's either a fake, or a ricocheting round. I'm of the latter, as they never explicitly 'say' it was a Russian sniper, so I don't see what the point in staging it would be, if they don't even try to blame the Russians. On a side note, she's pretty good looking for a journalist in a war-torn country. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

It looks real, yet sort of fake.
If the news channel was a bit more distinguishable you could probably look it up on their website or a credible source from their country to see if it's real or not. As for who shot her, it could also be one of her own people not necessarily a Russian. There's always renegade groups and whatnot. And if someone took the time to fake all of that, they are f**ked up in the head. Counter Strike 300 Read The Forum Rules Pwnem Veteran <- This explains what it is and how to become one. |

squee666 Wrote:seems more fake than real you'd at least expect her to scream or some shit Women have naturally better tolerances for pain than men, actually. Of course, that has limits, and any trained soldier is equiped better to handle pain than any civilian, woman or not, and even the soldiers yell when getting shot. But again, it's either a fake, or a ricochet. It basically just cut up her lower arm a bit, she wasn't really "shot", per se. Not to mention, assuming it's real, adrenaline probably kicked in. It'll hurt a lot more in 10 minutes after it wears off. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

Basically she could be shot by a 360's speed airgun... I have seen one with my own eyes so she could have been really shot...

Care to elaborate on why there'd be an airgun in the middle of a warzone in a near-3rd world area and why someone would be shooting reporters with it? ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

I will say it is real, but she was not shot on purpose. It may have not even been a bullet, could have been a very small piece of shrapnel the you can't see that just cut her skin a little bit.

It may be for exactly that reason, to make the reporters fall back. These kind of snipers cannot kill you that easy and also he was aiming for her hand so she wouldn't lose her hand. So, I am saying that they used this kind of gun to make people scared not dead because they don't want reporters and stuff like that in that area.
